Five "Tricks" to Enjoy a Safe Halloween
Spanish Police released yesterday some useful advice...
1. Be Original. Avoid "Evil Clown" Costume
Don’t share any posts which may create social alarm. If you spot a clown, don’t panic, use your common sense and if you’re in a risky situation: Call 091
2. Always “Trick or Treat” with a Gang
If your children and friends go asking for sweets “trick or treating”, warn them they must always do so in a group. Set a specific route and schedule. Remind them they should not enter any homes or strange cars. If they are very young, they must always be accompanied by an adult.
3. Have a Terrifying Party, But Stay Safe
If you go out and celebrate Halloween, don’t forget your safety. Find out if the event and venue is licensed and authorized for that particular party. Make sure it meets all security measures and check where the exits are in case of an emergency.
4. Police Costumes
Police outfits are very popular these days. Remember misuse may confuse others and impersonating a law enforcement officer is not allowed.
5. If You're Drinking, Give Your Car Pumpkins
If you go out to celebrate Halloween, and have a few drinks, remember not to drive! Doing so under the influence of alcohol, as well as irresponsible, a risk to others and yourself, it’s a crime.
