- 2 MEN LOOT CINEMA -

Madrid has dawned with the news of an armed robbery at the Capitol cinema, located at number 41 of the emblematic Gran Via, by two men, who went inside theaters fully masked last night. Just after 10.30pm, the two men knocked on the door of the cinema, where one of the employees was doing the weekend accounting.

Once inside the building, the two masked men managed to take all the proceeds from the weekend. They also threatened with a firearm the cinema worker so that they could break into the safe.  Later he was handcuffed and locked inside the office while they made off with the loot.

Thanks to another employee, who entered to the building at 11.45pm, the employee was able to leave the office where he was handcuffed and report the incident. The scene was attended immediately by the Fire Department of the City of Madrid and the National Police, who have already confirmed that it is investigating the incident and currently attempting to locate the two robbers.
